Jono and Grace Wright, with their children Elijah, Tjanara & Manoah were sent by the Presbyterian Reformed Church of Australia and our congregation to a missionary Church in Camooweal on the border of Queensland and the Northern Territory in 2005. Their work there is supported by a partnership with AIM (Australian Indigenous Ministries).

 

Jono was bought up in our congregation and served as an elder amongst us before his calling to this work amongst our indigenous people in this very remote part of Australia. His family are still very much part of our congregation. Looking to God for help they are seeking to:

 

• Further establish and develop the church there along Biblical lines.

• Build up and equip the Christians in the area, as individuals and as Christ's body – the church.

• Reach out into more remote Indigenous communities in the area with the message of hope and salvation through Christ Jesus alone.
